Now it is summer term, we need to take extra care to protect ourselves from the sun. Look at the Newsround website to learn more about sun safety.

The Pond
On the 28.2.08 the whole of Mrs Douglas’s class went out to the pond to have a look at all of the frogs. When we were in side the pond area it was still messy but previously the Yellow table went out to tidy 1 section of the Pond . Then we had a look at the pond with all of the frogs and one was staring at me and it was really freaky. Then we had to go back inside and tell, the orange table to go out with Mrs Douglas. The blue table went out today, the 29.2.08
Earthquake!
Today we were all talking about last night’s earthquake!
We even made a comment on the CBBC page!
Environment Agency Games and WWF Link
For lots of animations, fact and games about the environment, visit the Environment Agency website! Also, the WWF ‘Go Wild’ link has information and games about habitats and wildlife!
Kids RSPB Website
If you enjoyed looking out for birds during our habitat walk today, take a look at the kids RSPB website (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds).
Habitats Websites
In science this term, we are learning about habitats. Use the BBC Habitats game to help improve your habitat knowledge!
The Sir Robert Hitchman School website is another great link to help you find out about where animals live. The Pond Explorer website lets you go on a virtual pond dip!
Another website we will look at this term is All About Animals. This website is full of facts about different habitats.
Grassland Explorer challenges you to see how many minibeasts you can find, whilst the Woodlands Habitats Page is full of links that explain many different habitats.
Recycle Now Website
We used the ‘Recycle Now’ website to understand how recycling can be helpful to the environment.
Albert especially enjoyed the recycling game (as seen on TV!).
